Innocent Until Proven Risky
The goal of Innocent until Proven Risky is to demystify the use of algorithmic Risk Assessment Tools in the pretrial process. This project is part of the Making Policy Public fellowship program by the Center for Urban Pedagogy, where visual storytelling tools are created that explain a complex issue to people who are affected by it.
As the design fellow I developed the visual style and illustrations in a co-design process with CUP and the NGO Just Leadership. Several iterations of design and story-telling were tested by citizens affected by the issues.
